Below are some of the many attractions in these major cities that you can easily travel to using route 422.

Reading, Pa

The county seat of Berks County, PA, Reading was once nationally recognized as the home of the Reading Railroad which carried coal to many parts of the Eastern States.

Now, Reading is primarily known for being the home of some of the county’s most prominent employers, including Reading Hospital, East Penn Manufacturing Co., Penske Trucks Leasing and Rentals, and Boscov’s, one of the state’s most popular retailers.

Popular attractions in Reading, PA include FirstEnergy Stadium which is home to the Reading Fightin’ Phils (the minor league baseball affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies) and Santander Arena and Performing Arts Center which presents a variety of concerts from national touring acts as well as numerous sports events (including Reading Royals hockey).

And no trip to Reading is complete without a visit to the popular “Pagoda” atop Mount Penn.

Conshohocken, Pa

Nestles along the mighty Schuylkill River, Conshohocken was once a quiet mill town. Now, it’s one of suburban Philadelphia’s most popular destinations for the development of commercial offices and business centers.

Lovingly referred to as “Conshy” by locals, Conshocken is home to the headquarters of such major corporations as IKEA, Saladworks, AmerisourceBergen, and the National Lacrosse League. In recent years, Conshohocken has seen an influx of new businesses leading to a boom in employment.

King of Prussia, PA

Located just outside Philadelphia in Montgomery County, PA, and home to the world-renowned King of Prussia Mall (the third largest mall in the U.S.), King of Prussia is one of the area’s largest centers of employment opportunities.

In addition to hosting the headquarters of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission Region 1, K.O.P. (as it’s commonly referred to) is also home to corporate offices for pharmaceutical manufacturer GlaxoSmithKline, aerospace, and defense corporation Lockheed Martin, directory and internet service provider Hibu, e-commerce company Radial, and Philadelphia Media Newspapers, Inc.

Douglasville residents commuting to King of Prussia via Route 422, can easily connect to I-76 for travel to Center City, Philadelphia, I-476 to travel to Delaware County, and the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

As you can see, our proximity to Route 422 gives residents a chance to be close to some of the state’s most important employment opportunities, popular attractions, and other major roadways for travel throughout the state – and beyond!
